Already home to the world’s biggest indoor theme park, the world’s tallest building and the world’s biggest shopping mall, Dubai may soon become home to the world’s first rotating skyscraper.

According to NBC News, a new shape-shifting skyscraper to be built in Dubai will offer its residents the ability to program their apartments to move with the sun, so they can enjoy the view out of the window and get sunlight throughout the day on command which something apartment dwellers have never been able to do. Envisioned by Italian-Israeli architect David Fisher, each apartment of 80 floors can rotate a full 360 degrees, moving independently through voice-activated command controls that allow you to adjust the speed or stop the movement. So the structure will change its shape all the time.

Fischer announced his concept in 2008, but the proposal was cancelled and then brought back on several times. Last year, the architecture firm was told that construction was once again on with the building planned to open in 2020.

The 388-metre high dynamic skyscraper  is planned to have no electricity costs as it will have built-in-wind turbines and solar panels to power the entire building along with an elevator for cars that will allow residents to park their vehicles next to their units, according to CNN. However, don’t  expect the apartments in the building to come cheap -  a unit is likely to cost between at least  USD4 million to USD40 million.
