H&T Technoloy sponsors the Lighthouse’s September gathering
The Lighthouse Club’s monthly networking gathering for September was made possible through a sponsorship from H&T Technology, a leading swimming pool contractor and designer in Indochina. Hosted at Botanico Craft Beer Garden, Phnom Penh, the September 13 gathering welcomed some 40 participants who are professionals from the construction industry such as contractors, engineers, architects, designers and project managers to network, exchange views and have fun. Sponsoring the Lighthouse monthly gathering for several times, H&T Technology has developed dozens of state-of-the-art swimming pools for hotels, and residents across Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. The company incorporated in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam in 2001 and expanded to Cambodia market since 2013. H&T’s swimming pool facilities have been developed through the consumption of various global brands of building materials and pumps. Thomas Stier, Director of H&T Technology is an active member for The Lighthouse Club Cambodia, despite the company’s main office base in Ho Chi Minh City. With his experience living in Cambodia for years, the company also has dozens of projects across Cambodia. Established in UK since 1940s as a global charity club, The Lighthouse Club helps marginalized people worldwide in the building sector such as injured building workers from construction sites and grant scholarships to poor students to study construction-related majors. With chapters worldwide in almost every country, the club, although operates on volunteer basis gather professionals in the construction industry every month that allows construction-related companies to sponsor the events in exchange for the opportunity to promote their products/services. For The Lighthouse Cambodia, participants can sign up to be regular member by paying $50 per year with $5 more for entrance fee for every monthly events, while non-member will pay $15 per person for entrance fee. The funds receiving from the monthly gathering so as other events, are used in two methods. First, it supports building workers and their families that were injured from construction sites. Second, the club will offer scholarships to young underprivileged Cambodians wishing to pursue a career in the construction industry. So far dozens of injured workers and students are receiving support from the club. Despite its long history worldwide, The Lighthouse Cambodia is just 7-year-old in Cambodia.
