WorldBridge Land offers affordable housing
Director of WorldBridge Land has dismissed concerns by investors in the company’s affordable housing project about its status as being state-run and problems or impacts from other futuredevelopments of the government. Oknha Noun Rithy, KFA’s CEO and an exclusive sales agency for this affordable housing project, said WorldBridge Land Cambodia has joined with the government, in particular the Ministry of Land, Urban Planning and Construction, to invest in housing developments for lower and medium income people.               “All customers or people have the right to think, but the truth is still true, so don’t worry about reputation or sales. So far, the company has more than 50% of its customers in hand waiting for booking”, he explained. The current project site was already filled with sand and finished soil testing and construction will begin in March 2019 and will take approximately 16-24 months to be fully complete. However, Oknha Noun Rithy affirmed that this type of project is also in high demand in other areas and so the company will consider further expansion.                           The affordable housing project of WorldBridge Land Cambodia has two types of units: Type 1 with 2,015 units available, has a house size of 4 x 10.5m and 4 x 7m, with two floors and costs about US$ 25,000. The second project, with 272 units available, has a house size of 6 x 10.5m and 6 x 7m with two floors, priced from US$ 30,000. The project is located in Koh Kor village, Rokar Khum commune, Sa Ang district, Kandal province. Since the project is set to start in early March, customers can come to register and book units while the price remains between US$ 25,000 and US$ 35,000. Oknha Noun Rithy insisted that the price point is suitable for low and medium income people as well as civil servants. The method of payment is easy and based on their income with only a 5% or 10% deposit of the house price in the first phrase, he said.                           Note: Within 24 months, the customer is required to make monthly payments between 20 – 30 percent of the house price and then can pay in redemption for up to 15-20 years with the bank. The monthly payment is between US$ 105 and US$ 244 depending on the advance deposit.
