Groundbreaking ceremony announced for 62-storey twin towers
Phnom Penh: Representative of Royal One on February 13 told KHB Media that Royal Group of Companies will break ground the construction of its mixed-use development on February 14. Royal One is a 62-storey or 230-meter twin towers project which will be constructed​ on a land located on Russian Federation ​Boulevard (corner of Preah Monivong Blvd) – about 100 meters from Canadia Tower. Royal Group through its press release said this mixed-use development buildings will include condominiums, office units, retail outlets and a five-star international hotel, as well as a stunning infinity pool perched on a sky bridge connecting the two towers. In March 2018, OTK Royal One which is a subsidiary of Royal Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding with a Chinese state-owned company Sichuan Huasi Group to build the towers with an investment of over US$ 150 million. The construction is expected to be completely finished in next three years. After constructing, Royal One will be the tallest twin towers compared to 32-storey and 39-storey heights of Canadia and Vattanak Tower respectively. Surrounding this iconic development, there are many prominent construction projects which include: Phnom Penh City Centre, a project develops over 100 hectares of land, Parkson supermarket, 39-storey mixed-use development Gateway and a 45-storey high-rise commercial building which is invested by Chip Mong Group and announced the groundbreaking ceremony last month.
